About Nehal

Nehal’s experience, coupled with her work with 3000 students and their parents through her NGOs, gave her valuable insights into the child psychology and education sector. Her training of counseling psychology in Counsel India equips her with all the tools required to guide and help a client.
Nehal is a post graduate diploma holder in Counseling skills. She studied Parenting & Children Counseling, Holistic Healing, and Career Counseling [GCC] at NHCA Singapore in 2021, which provided her with additional skills and knowledge for career counseling, personal counseling and parenting counseling.
Under the umbrella of PurpleNest, Nehal and her team provides the client all that is needed to maintain a sturdy mindset, and clear focus. Counseling can do wonders when you feel lost and defeated in life. Counseling can hold your hand and take you out of the storms of negative emotions. So, don’t hesitate in getting counseled.
The team of PurpleNest is passionate and committed in making a positive difference in the lives of people who are seeking career and other advice.
Nehal’s interest in counseling stems from the positive feedback she did receive from those around her. As a good listener, problem solver, and parenting expert, Nehal is well-suited to offer guidance and support to parents and students seeking career and other behavioral advice. With her two children studying at IIT, she is often praised for her parenting skills and frequently asked to counsel parents and students to help them achieve academic success.
As an author of three parenting books, ‘The Blue Whale,’ ‘Surf the WAVES’ and ‘From Screen to Sky,’ Nehal believes that her work as a counselor will enhance the trust and credibility of her content among her readers. Her wealth of experience and passion for helping others makes her an asset to anyone looking to make the right career choices.
Career counseling, according to Nehal, is critical for students to reach their full potential. With over 15 years of experience working with 3000 students through her NGO, Udaan, she has organized numerous events such as inter-school competitions and summer camps. Further, Nehal has completed the Global Career Counsellor Green Belt training, which provides her with knowledge of global options for her clients.
According to Nehal, career counseling should be sought at least twice during a student’s ten-year academic career, if the student is highly confused. When it comes to the parent and child combo, Nehal says, “In 80% cases of success parents are responsible to provide children with a correct mindset. If parents are aware a child can do wonders.”
Parenting Counseling is pivotal when the relationship with a child is not clicking in any case. Also, when you are feeling helpless in handling your child, you should not hesitate in seeking help. A good rapport between the counselor and parents can do miracles in children’s lives.
Parents and Counselors together can support children in identifying their strengths, dreams, and abilities and can guide them towards the most suitable career goal.
